A Gathering of Authors
We’re excited to host the ninth annual Gathering of Authors, a yearly celebration of Kentucky’s rich literary tradition where we host writers from across the Bluegrass. This event is an excellent opportunity for you to meet some of your favorite authors in a casual atmosphere. You can stop by, chat with this year’s participants, and pick up their newest releases which they will have available for sale. You can even get your books signed! Read more.

Check Out Amazon Fire Tablets
Check out an Amazon Fire Tablet to take on a trip or other special occasion or maybe just to try it before you buy one. With WiFi access and an Amazon account, you can download any apps from the Amazon App Store, including apps to access the Library’s digital collection. Read more.

If you lack internet in your home or if you are planning a vacation where internet access might be limited, have no fear — we have teamed up with Verizon to offer mobile hotspots for checkout! Read more.

Construction Begins on Library Expansion
Construction is estimated to be completed by the end of August 2017. The parking lot at the back has been cordoned off to allow crews to paint in lines for utilities, and soon that area will be blocked off for the construction team. There are a few parking spots behind the Library and parking along the street. There is a book drop at the front of the building (Wapping Street side) just to the left of the entrance for your convenience, and we will soon announce details for curb-side pickup service during select hours. Read more.
