Welcome to Ljubljana, the Slovenian capital city is one of Europe's smallest but certainly packs a punch when it comes to beauty and charm. The city centre is car-free, perfect for exploring by foot as you zig-zag your way over the many bridges that cross the river which flows through the city. Along the way, you'll no doubt spot more than your fair share of dragon statues, none more so than on Dragon Bridge, before grabbing a drink at one of the many riverside terraces.

Leaving Ljubljana you'll travel to the alpine resort of Bled with its magical lake as you explore the old castle, perched on top of a steep cliff above the lake. From Bled you'll travel south to discover the mysteries of the Slovenian karst in the Postojna cave as well as visiting the idyllic village of Predjama home to a dramatic cave castle.

The first port of call on this itinerary is one you won't forget easily, cruising in and out of the Bay of Kotor is a magical experience, for those feeling energetic why not climb up to St John's Fortress for some impressive views over the town and fjord below. Up next is the Greek island of Corfu where you'll want to take a stroll down the cobbled streets of the UNESCO World Heritage Old Town. Santorini and Mykonos, two of our favourite Greek islands are certainly a highlight of this itinerary, before docking in Argostoli on the island of Kefalonia. Cruising back towards Trieste your final port of call is Dubrovnik, the Pearl of the Adriatic. Walking the city walls may take you a couple of hours, but the views out to sea are well worth the effort.
