Mark your calendars! Litquake will return in 2021 as a hybrid festival, with two-plus weeks of activity both in-person (outdoor and indoor) and online from October 7-23, 2021.
In partnership with Yerba Buena Community Benefit District, we will be hosting in-person events at the Museum of African Diaspora, 111 Minna, Contemporary Jewish Museum, California Historical Society, American Bookbinders Museum, Children’s Creativity Museum, and a whole weekend of BIPOC & LGBTQ-led events on the outdoor stage at Yerba Buena Gardens Esplanade. We’re also excited to announce returning partners like Grace Cathedral, Vesuvio Cafe, Hotel Emblem, and new partners like St. Joseph’s Arts Society.
We will also host virtual events throughout the festival, including virtual editions of Kidquake and Words Around the World, a program for works in translation we are excited to bring back after a year off. All of this will culminate with an in-person Lit Crawl San Francisco on Saturday, October 23, 2021 throughout the Mission District.
