Also, waiting for rent help
By Bob WarrenLincoln Beach: Could a comeback be on the horizon for Lincoln Beach? The recreation area off Lake Pontchartrain was once a popular spot for Black families in segregation-era New Orleans. Clinking glasses: Another feather in the cap of a classic French Quarter restaurant. Brennan’s Restaurant has been named a Wine Specator Grand Winner. Jazz Fest lineup, the deeper look: The New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival released much of its musical lineup Thursday. Music writer Keith Spera has this deeper look at what we can expect this fall when Jazz Fest time finally rolls around again. To say the program has gotten off to a slow start would be an understatement. One down, one to go: It looks like LSU has settled on a new baseball coach. The Pelicans, meanwhile, are still in search mode and Scott Kushner writes that David Griffin might be running out of chances to get it right. All this and much more in today’s Lunch Line. Thanks for taking a break with us. |
