OVER THE VALLEY LIMITS

Skiing fun on the Schmittenhöhe is limitless – you already know that. But what might be new to you? From December on, an additional cable car connection takes you up into your favourite ski resort: 

The zellamseeXpress directly connects the Glemmtal with the Schmittenhöhe family & panorama ski resort. From the new valley station in the village of Viehhausen, it only takes you a few minutes and you're up on Zell's landmark mountain. All aboard!

WINTER START ON THE MOUNTAIN

Temperatures are dropping, but that leaves us unfazed. How come? "Winter Start on the Mountain" will get our blood pumping with hot tunes and lots of dancing. On 7 December 2019, Zell am See-Kaprun celebrates the opening of the brand-new zellamseeXpress with support from two star musicians: 

"Dancing and singing - most warmly recommended!" That's the motto when an international star and an Austropop legend perform on the same stage – at the opening event of the ski season on the Schmittenhöhe. How do Aura Dione and Rainhard Fendrich go together? Snowtastically, of course! But come see for yourself at the concert highlight of this winter season!

TIME FOR THE FIRST SKI TOUR!

The first snowflakes have got you in the mood for winter, and now there's only one thing on your mind: the first ski tour of the season. Then we've got the perfect opportunity for you: the Bergwelten Skitouring-Testival!

From 22 to 24 November 2019, you can test the latest equipment and have the pros give you helpful tips and advice. Don't miss out: The mountain guides of Naturfreunde offer several guided ski tours each day.

Sparkling lights, dancing snowflakes and the scent of vanilla and cinnamon wafting through the air: Advent season in Zell am See-Kaprun is a truly magical experience. Swooshing down the slopes by day, and enjoying the idyllic Christmas atmosphere at the town's centre or by the lake in the evening – what could be better? 

From 20 November until 24 December 2019, numerous Advent markets and events of the Star Advent will give you that warm, fuzzy Christmas feeling. New this year: an Advent market right by the lake. Take a stroll and enjoy magical moments!
