My story with The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center began in 2012 when my oldest sister was diagnosed with breast cancer. |
I was working as a registered nurse at another hospital at the time. But when she asked for advice, I told her to go to MD Anderson. I'm so glad I did. Everyone there was caring and genuine. |
I was so impressed that I applied for a job at MD Anderson. I now know first‑hand the difference nurses can make in a cancer patient's life. That's why I work hard every day to make sure my patients know I care and I'm here for them. |
Today, I'm asking you to share a story about an MD Anderson nurse who has earned a special place in your heart by caring for you or a family member. |
Although Nurses Week was this past week, we believe nurses should be celebrated year round. Your story will help us honor our dedicated nurses who strive to make sure every patient in our care feels compassion, support, encouragement and, most importantly, hope. |
Every nurse at MD Anderson plays a crucial role in Making Cancer History®. We truly love standing beside our patients in their fight. |
Thank you! |
