| Illuminated is a journey of discovery and bringing new perspectives to life.
In each period of the Illuminated journey, we will send a photographer to an unknown different city. The photographers must discover and explore the area in detail, from the space to its people and culture. In a metaphorical sense, the photographer must also seek themselves in a new light, previously unknown or unexplored.

What ties this journey together with the photographer is the Leica Q. At the end of each of their experiences, the same camera is handed over by one photographer to the next, ready to explore. The Leica Q is a torch passed from one explorer to another. The torch that illuminates each of their personal journeys. |

They might duck to get out of the way, which then creates an interesting photo. The person might be carrying their body in a way, which is trying to avoid the camera. That's something I look for, to bring that sense of ambiguity to the picture."
