Nominate for Australian of the Year
| Congratulations to Paul McCarthy | |
To all our entrants, thank you for sharing your recipes with us over the last few weeks. We hope you have enjoyed the friendly banter between our competitive on-air cooks as they baked for their lives. But there can only be one Legend in the Baking blue ribbon recipient and on this occasion it was radio's 7:45am News Bulletin reader Paul McCarthy (pictured left with Peter Goers), who presented a Tanzanian Date and Nut Loaf. Coming in a close second was Afternoon's Sonya Feldhoff with Canadian Cookies (pictured right) and let's not forget Breakfast's Ali Clarke in last place with Banana Cake. The official cookery judges Bree May, Sue Rabbit and Belinda Hanson-Kenny had a tough job as every entry looked magnificent. Check out the entry highlights and behind-the-scenes kitchen videos from our bakers here. There is a digital recipe book being released soon, stay tuned.

Across the ABC we're exploring the importance of our mental health and wellbeing with ABC's Your Mental Health focus series with tips for taking care of your mental health.

Potato, carrot and parsnip stew with parmesan and rosemary |
| | This recipe is magic because you only need a few ingredients to make it. Ordinarily when supplies are dwindling the go-to is pasta, but when you fancy a big bowl of hearty vegetables this simple stew is sure to please. | | | |
