In our new online course, Serving Vulnerable Populations, you’ll learn about innovative library programs at the intersection of social work and public health that you can emulate in your library. You’ll explore how to identify, connect with and serve vulnerable populations in your community, and how to leverage partnerships to provide targeted support where needed.

Developed and led by experts in the field, this three-week program includes live sessions on Tuesdays, May 17, 24, and 31, from 2:00-4:00 pm ET with an asynchronous, facilitator-led workshop in which you’ll define and complete a project that inspires action in your community.

We’re thrilled to share our speaker program with you, which includes a session on how to develop programs serving people experiencing homelessness featuring Leah Esguerra, LMFT, San Francisco Public Library Social Worker Supervisor and Ida Abolin, Health and Safety Associates (HASA) at the San Francisco Public Library, as well as a session with Allison Waukau, Native Community Liaison, Hennepin County Library, Minneapolis all about how to engage in effective outreach to vulnerable populations.
