Leadership, Introvert Style | | Ministry positions are often geared toward extroverts. Churches seek out people who are chatty, gregarious, the life of the party. Or just plain confident enough to get up in front of people and do silly things. One friend of mine recalled her initiation into youth ministry, when she was expected to get up in front of a crowd and play “butt charades.” Yikes! There’s nothing wrong with being an extrovert. But when churches seek them out exclusively, they miss out on the myriad strengths and abilities introverts possess.
