Latter Day Light DAILY DEVOTIONAL February 14 Love Your Neighbor |
SCRIPTURE OF THE DAY Mosiah 23:15 "Thus did Alma teach his people, that every man should love his neighbor as himself, that there should be no contention among them." |
QUOTE OF THE DAY Joseph F. Smith "My religion teaches me to love all men. However much I may despise their acts, or deplore their wickedness . . . It is required of me that I shall love my neighbor as myself. I may not have risen yet to that high standard of perfection; there may still be lingering in me that selfishness that would prefer myself above my neighbor; but I aim to do right to my fellowmen, because the Gospel requires it" (Teachings of Presidents of the Church: Joseph F. Smith, p. 196). |
Library: Latter-day Light: Chapter 17: Patriachal Blessings "A patriarchal blessing is personal revelation available to each of us. Patriarchal blessings help us learn the truth about ourselves. It is our responsibility to prayerfully read it to receive the direction we need to fulfill our life's mission and to avoid the pitfalls that will take us off course. A patriarchal blessing is our opportunity to learn first hand Heavenly Father's confidence in us. " To read more, Click Here! |
