Latter Day Light DAILY DEVOTIONAL August 31, 2017 Happiness |
SCRIPTURE OF THE DAY Mosiah 2:41 "And moreover, I would desire that ye should consider on the blessed and happy state of those that keep the commandments of God. For behold, they are blessed in all things, both temporal and spiritual; and if they hold out faithful to the end they are received into heaven, that thereby they may dwell with God in a state of never-ending happiness. O remember, remember that these things are true; for the Lord God hath spoken it." |
QUOTE OF THE DAY Joseph F. Smith "The religion of the Latter-day Saints relates to present conduct as well as future happiness. It influences its votaries [believers] in everything that affects human character. It is for the body as well as for the spirit. It teaches people how to live and act in this world that they may be prepared for the realities of the world to come" (Teachings of Presidents of the Church: Joseph F. Smith, p. 288). |
