A Message From the Editor

Good morning. We told you yesterday that U.S. firms were gaining M&A market share in Continental Europe, and today we have a story about U.S. firms gaining ground in the U.K. M&A market, with Latham & Watkins taking the top spot for the first time. We're also covering news that Orrick has named 17 new partners -- three in Europe. In Canada, a landmark case is about to be argued before the Supreme Court, while in the U.S., KPMG got one step closer to having its application for an Alternative Business Structure license approved -- a first for a Big Four firm in the U.S.
