The Great Canadian Giving Challenge has begun! Hosted by CanadaHelps, the contest gives charities who are making a difference in our communities a chance to win $20K.
The more donations received, the more chances the National Screen Institute has to receive much-needed funding support. Regardless, your donation is vital to the work we do.
At the National Screen Institute, we’ve been working to bring our mandate to life:
“If you want to change what you see on screen, you need to change who’s behind the scenes.”
This month, we’ll be sharing the ways in which the National Screen Institute and our community have been changing the media landscape, and how your support continues to be a driving force as we live our mandate, every day.
Through our programs, participants are supported and uplifted to reach their goals and have their voices heard. In programs like CBC New Indigenous Voices, Access BIPOC Producers and NSI Series Incubator we’re working with creators from underrepresented communities as they shape perceptions, influence narratives and spark meaningful conversations – changing what we see on screen and behind the scenes for the better.
Your support helps the National Screen Institute deliver training programs, provide career opportunities to participants, reach more creators from across the country and create meaningful change in the industry.
This month, every $1 donated to the National Screen Institute provides our organization with a chance to win $20K. Your donation impacts the many storytellers who work tirelessly to produce stories that entertain, inform and deepen our connection to one another.
Thank you for your support as we continue to change what we see on screen, starting behind the scenes.
With gratitude,
Joy Loewen
