Alumni and staff at Yorkton Film Festival, Golden Sheaf Awards Gala

Yorkton Film Festival

Yorkton celebrates their annual Yorkton Film Festival (YFF) with film screenings, panels and the Golden Sheaf Awards Gala, all featuring National Screen Institute alumni and faculty starting May 25.

Virtual workshops start on May 25, leading up to the awards gala. All workshops are free with registration. The Golden Sheaf Awards Gala streams online and other platforms on May 27 at 7 p.m. Saskatchewan time.

Film screenings (times and links available on May 27)

  • All-in Madonna (developed through NSI Features First) – directed by Arnold Lim and written by Susie Winters (both NSI Features First)

Workshops

  • The Art of the Pitch with panelist Robert Hardy (NSI Totally Television) – May 25 at 1 p.m.
  • Business Affairs, presented by the National Screen Institute, moderated by Ursula Lawson (NSI program manager) –  May 26 at 12:30 p.m.
  • Inclusivity and Diversity with panelist Kaya Wheeler (NSI program manager) –  May 27 at 1 p.m.
