Amanda Strong, Bracken Hanuse Corlett pop-up artist talk at Winnipeg Art Gallery tonight Posted: 16 Jan 2018 01:26 PM PST Amanda Strong and Bracken Hanuse Corlett (both NSI IndigiDocs) present a pop-up artist talk tonight, January 16, at the Winnipeg Art Gallery (WAG) in support of their work’s inclusion in the WAG’s current Insurgence/Resurgence exhibition. It happens at 5 p.m. today and covers their multi-media work including animated film Biidaaban and the props (pictured) and puppets used to make it. Adventures in Public School hits the road with screenings in Vancouver, Edmonton, Winnipeg + more Posted: 16 Jan 2018 10:48 AM PST In addition to its Toronto run in Canada’s Top Ten Film Festival, NSI Features First-developed Adventures in Public School (previously known as Public Schooled), from writer/director Kyle Rideout and writer/producer Josh Epstein, hits the road over the next couple of months with screenings across the country. Catch the film in the following cities: January 20 – Pacific Cinémathèque in Vancouver January 26 – Metro Cinema in Edmonton February 10 – Cinematheque in WinnipegAdventures in Public School also screens at Fernie Film Festival‘s opening night on January 26 and the Available Light Film Fest in Whitehorse, Yukon on February 4. • • • NSI Features First is a development training launch pad for producer/writer teams looking to produce their first or second feature film with strong commercial appeal.
