How to Buy a Baby from Lauren Corber, Molly McGlynn launches on CBC Comedy, November 13 Posted: 09 Nov 2017 10:15 AM PST Watch a new trailer for upcoming comedy series How to Buy a Baby from producer Lauren Corber (NSI Totally Television) and director Molly McGlynn (NSI Drama Prize). The series, premiering November 13 on CBC Comedy, is made with the participation of the IPF, TELUS Fund and CBC. The 10-part comedy series is based on writer Wendy Litner’s experience with infertility. How To Buy A Baby follows couple Jane and Charlie Levy as they struggle through infertility treatments. Rodney Contois, Frances Koncan featured on CBC Manitoba Future 40 list Posted: 09 Nov 2017 08:30 AM PST Two NSI grads, Rodney Contois and Frances Koncan (both CBC New Indigenous Voices) are featured on CBC’s Manitoba Future 40 list. Frances Koncan, winner of the 2017 Winnipeg Arts Council RBC On the Rise award, was recognized for her work as a playwright and director. Rodney Contois was recognized for his work with Aki Foods, an Indigenous social enterprise that works to create sustainable local food economies in Manitoba’s northern First Nations.
