NSI Aboriginal Documentary film Cree Code Talker by Cowboy Smithx and Alexandra Lazarowich won best Alberta short documentary and the audience choice award for best short documentary. Ingrid and the Black Hole by Leah Johnston (NSI Drama Prize) won best Canadian short film. |
Lisa Jackson featured in Toronto Metro article about VR doc on Indigenous missing and murdered women Posted: 14 Oct 2016 09:09 AM PDT Ahead of its inclusion in a digital media artist showcase at imagineNATIVE Film + Media Arts Festival this month, the Toronto Metro recently published a story about Highway of Tears VR, a new documentary from Lisa Jackson (NSI Storytellers, Featuring Aboriginal Stories Program). Working with Secret Location, Lisa directed the four-minute 360 degree video on BC’s Highway of Tears for CBC Radio’s The Current. The Highway of Tears VR will also be used for a series of town hall discussions across the country set to air on CBC Radio. |
