STORYHIVE short United Guys Network racks up 50th festival screening Posted: 05 Mar 2020 08:16 AM PST TELUS STORYHIVE digital short The United Guys Network from creators Tabatha Golat and Montgomery Burt plays at the Women’s Comedy Film Festival in Atlanta later this month, marking the film’s first screening at a women’s festival and its 50th festival screening. The film is nominated for best international comedy at the festival. In The United Guys Network, Paul, a loving newlywed husband, dotes on his wife. This makes the other guys in the neighbourhood look bad so they kidnap him and teach him how to be a ‘real’ man through their secret headquarters at The United Guys Network. In its second year, the Women’s Comedy Film Festival celebrates independent films featuring female filmmakers, actors, directors, writers and producers from all over the world. The fest runs March 27 and 28. • • • Support the students of 2020At NSI, we’re passionate about nurturing storytellers because stories connect us all. Posted: 04 Mar 2020 12:10 PM PST These 16 students pictured above recently started their training journey with the National Screen Institute – Canada (NSI). They will further develop their storytelling skills and projects with the best in the business. For these students to be successful, we need your help. That’s double the impact! Just a few dollars will go a long way and give a helping hand to the students of 2020 as they work hard to take their stories to the next level. Don’t miss out on this special donor challenge, please donate before March 31. Note that all donations to NSI are tax deductible Thank you, Joy Loewen P.S.
