Apply for the Canadian Academy Directors Program for Women Posted: 30 May 2019 01:33 PM PDT Applications are now open for the Canadian Academy Directors Program for Women – an initiative that came from the Academy’s desire to reach gender parity and ensure the greater representation of women and women-identifying directors working in today’s screen-based media industry. The program is designed to bolster the professional development of Canadian directors by providing hands-on experience through a wide range of activities including an exclusive professional development symposium, a six-part online learning module and curated on-set director observer placements with established production companies and high-profile directors. Previous graduates of the program include NSI alumni Leah Johnston (NSI Drama Prize), JJ Neepin (NSI IndigiDocs), Anna Cooley (STORYHIVE) and Kirsten Carthew (NSI Features First, NSI Drama Prize). Applications are being accepted until June 21, 2019. Find out more and apply.
