The Women’s Business Centre is a website designed to share knowledge, practical tips and experiences to help women across Scotland bring their business ideas to life and flourish as a business owner. Electron Garage Success in Share of Can Do Innovation Challenge Fund

A second challenge call for Zero Emissions Heavy Duty Vehicles was completed recently from Transport Scotland and Scottish Enterprise through its Can Do Innovation Challenge framework, to support innovation around net zero transport.

This round of funding was an extension to a programme launched in 2021 and aimed to target a wider range of heavy-duty transport with successful projects including boats, gritters and offroad excavators.

Funding Local Climate Action

Local communities across Scotland will be supported to take climate action in their areas through a new nationwide network of Climate Action Hubs.

A total of £4.3 million will be allocated to expand the Scottish Government’s Climate Action Hub programme to around 20 communities across the country.

Techstart Ventures Equity Finance

The Scottish Growth Scheme is a package of financial support of up to £500 million for small and medium enterprises in Scotland. Backed by the Scottish Government, it aims to help businesses grow.

This funding includes Techstart Ventures Equity Finance, which is managed by Techstart Ventures on behalf of the Scottish Government. It provides equity finance of up to £2 million, in rounds of up to £10 million, for eligible businesses.

UMi Debt Finance Scotland

The Scottish Growth Scheme is a package of financial support of up to £500 million for small and medium enterprises in Scotland. The scheme is backed by the Scottish Government and aims to help businesses grow.

This funding includes UMi Debt Finance Scotland, which is managed by UMi Scotland on behalf of the Scottish Government and provides loans of £25,001 to £250,000 to eligible businesses.
