Scotland And France To Collaborate On Green Energy

A cooperation agreement with the French region of Brittany aims to strengthen Scotland’s position as a leader in Europe’s offshore renewables industry.

The agreement will provide Scottish companies with opportunities to capitalise and share best practices on the expansion of offshore wind projects off the coast of Brittany.

A delegation of fifteen Scottish companies – supported by Scottish Development International - recently met representatives from Brittany’s offshore wind sector to discuss future collaboration.

Tesco: Stronger Starts Grant Funding

Stronger Starts is a £5 million grant programme to boost school funds. Funding will be focused on providing nutritious food and activities/resources to boost physical health and mental wellbeing in children and young people.

The scheme is open to all registered charities and not-for-profit organisations, with priority given to projects that provide food and support to young people. It provides grants of up to £1500 to local projects from across the whole of Scotland.

Export Controls and Licences

UK Export Controls restrict the transfer or disclosure of sensitive goods, software, and technology (know-how and other information) to recipients and destinations outside of the UK. This includes physical exports, electronic transfers (via email, file sharing, virtual meetings, etc.), and transfers by any other means (verbal communication).
