I know it's late but these are so pretty, we had to share them:
1. The pretty pastel cupcakes at the top, Debbie made those. Stop by the craft store and buy some fondant. They may have it in pastels. If not you'll need to color yours with food colors. Wear gloves so that you don't stain your hands and knead the color into the white fondant. Americolor Food Color Gels are the brightest and prettiest.
She used a cookie cutter for the main pieces. For the smaller pieces, she used other cutters or a sharp knife.
2. Casey built the chocolate cookie nests. She made chocolate sugar cookies and frosted them with a chocolate fudge frosting. Stain the coconut green with a bit of food coloring.
3. The robin eggs in a nest--on the cover of Country Home Kitchen, that's Casey's work again. For the grass to build the nest, she cooked a syrupto the hard ball stage and drizzled it with aspoon onto waxed paper. Clever girl.
