​Mariano Rajoy announces that government will raise growth forecast for 2017 to 3%

At the end of the 12th Poland-Spain Summit in Warsaw, the President of the Government, Mariano Rajoy, announced that on Monday, 3 July, the government will raise the growth forecast from 2.7% to 3%. Spain and Poland agree that the fight against terrorism is a priority for the European Union.

The President of the Government, Mariano Rajoy, stated in Berlin (Germany) that Spain has been growing at a rate of more than 3% over the last three years. He also defended freedom of trade, the Paris agreements on climate change and advocated greater international cooperation on terrorism and immigration.

Mariano Rajoy attends ceremony in tribute to victims of terrorism

The President of the Government, Mariano Rajoy, attended the official event in memory and tribute to the victims of terrorism in the Lower House of Parliament. Ana Pastor, Speaker of the Lower House of Parliament, and Mara del Mar Blanco, President of the Victims of Terrorism Foundation, both spoke at the event.

Mariano Rajoy receives women's national basketball team, European champions

The President of the Government, Mariano Rajoy, congratulated the Spanish women's basketball team at Moncloa Palace following their victory in Eurobasket 2017, and expressed his conviction that their winning run will continue into the World Championships in 2018, which will be held in Spain.

Government grants loan of 10.19 billion euros to Social Security system to pay pensions
