High-speed trains will start to run between Plasencia and Badajoz in 2020

The President of the Government, Pedro Snchez, received the President of the Regional Government of Extremadura, Guillermo Fernndez Vara, at Moncloa Palace. During the meeting, the two leaders discussed the priorities of this autonomous region, mainly focused on investment in infrastructure. This meeting forms part of the round of contacts between the President of the Government and the regional presidents.

Government changes law to ensure citizens no longer pay mortgage tax

The government approved changes to two sections of the Property Transfer and Stamp Duty Act so that banks are responsible, as from Saturday, for paying the mortgage tax. It also agreed on a series of urgent measures to improve road management and safety.
