Residents and healthcare workers that work in care homes for the elderly, and people with disabilities will be the first to be vaccinated. The vaccine is safe, effective and its administration will be voluntary and free of charge.

The President of the Government, Pedro Snchez, explained the details of the COVID-19 Vaccination Strategy on Sunday, the first country together with Germany to design a complete vaccination plan. The government's aim is to start a vaccination process in January and for a very significant part of the population to be vaccinated, with all due guarantees, over the course of the first half of 2021.
