Even more of the same great coverage you trust.
| To meet the demands of an increasingly dynamic news cycle, KQED is dedicating more resources and staff to enable us to respond whenever the news happens. We are excited to announce that we are adding four new positions — a senior editor, an anchor and two interactive producers — to help us bolster our weekend coverage. KQED has always covered the major news stories regardless of when they happen, but our local coverage over the weekends will help us continue to serve the evolving needs of our audiences. Whether it's on 88.5 FM, online or on social media, today KQED is able to offer audiences consistent coverage seven days a week. | | We have begun to broadcast local radio reports ten times per day on Saturdays and Sundays. We'll regularly update our website and use social media to continue to inform the public — and we'll seek more engagement with our audiences to help us create and curate weekend content. And when the Bay Area becomes the center of a major story — regardless of when it happens — KQED will work with the NPR national network to bring local and national audiences the stories they expect, with accuracy, depth and analysis. We've got you covered. | | Best, | | Holly Kernan Vice President, News |
