KKR ups Enilive stake, invests in EGC; GPCA finds emerging market growth

Morning all, Craig McGlashan on Europe Wire duty from the London newsroom.

KKR is having a busy week, raising its stake in energy giant Eni’s Enilive division, investing in a German energy service provider and, via its portfolio company Accountor, nearing the end of a take-private of a Finnish software provider for SMEs.

Next, we look at some data from the Global Private Capital Association that suggestslast year was a strong one for private capital activity in emerging markets.

Triple play

It’s been a little quiet for deals of late, but KKR has bucked the trend with three deal announcements.

Read about all three in the premium version of the Wire.

Emergence

Emerging markets enjoyed a strong 2024, according to data from the Global Private Capital Association, which has over 300 members managing $2 trillion of assets in 130 countries.

Find out the numbers, and see some examples of our coverage from emerging markets, in the premium version of the Wire.

Right, that’s it from me today. Rafael Canton will write to you from New York with the US Wire later today, while Nina Lindholm is on Europe duty tomorrow.

Cheers,

Craig
