Kick Off Your Holiday Spending by Giving

The festive season is on your doorstep, and that means that soon you’ll be doling out your hard earned cash on festive season specials. That’s all good!

Before you start spending though, consider those who won’t be in a festive mood. Why not make this a time of giving to those who are most vulnerable?

115 000 South Africans hear the words ‘you have cancer’ each year. Their lives are turned upside down by diagnosis and side effects of treatment and they need ongoing support.

That’s where CANSA steps in to meet their need. CANSA offers counselling, face to face support groups, online support groups and platforms where those who have been diagnosed can connect with others who understand. This connection helps them to feel less isolated and overwhelmed as they go through treatment.

CANSA also helps patients cope with side effects of treatment and CANSA Care Centres offer a wide range of care and support services to those affected by cancer including: breast prostheses and mastectomy wear, adult incontinence nappies and bedding, natural or synthetic hair wigs, stoma and clinical support; and medical equipment hire. We also supply patient care and support in the form of 12 CANSA Care Homes in the main metropolitan areas for out-of-town cancer patients and CANSA-TLC lodging for parents and guardians of children undergoing cancer treatment.
