| | | Edition 1 | 2025 | | Dear John Do, | | This year, Hamburg is gearing up to host leading trade fairs and congresses, innovation and career days as well as international AI summits. Hamburg News offers our readers an overview of key events in 2025. Meanwhile, northern Europe's largest infrastructure project, the Fehmarnbelt Tunnel, is taking shape. The 18-kilometre link between Germany and Denmark is due for completion in 2029. In our latest Future Hamburg Talk, Ulf Hahn, Managing Director of the HanseBelt Association and spokesman for the Hamburg Metropolitan Region Economic Development Board, gives insight into the status of the project and the economic opportunities it is likely to open up. In other news, Hamburg Airport saw record passenger and flight numbers in 2024, a 180 km long drone flew over the German Bight and Hamburg is voted one of the 52 top destinations in 2025. Sincerely, Hamburg News Editors | |
