Born in Los Angeles, California in 1956, K. Anders Anderson is an American painter whose work captures a visual snapshot to the universal vibration we all experience in our lives. That moment of clarity, the minute, tenuous space between right now and a decision into another realm of possibility, known as The Adjacent Possible. Anderson's fascination with art began as a small child, and she painted, drew and created Fiber Art for many years before setting her brushes aside to focus on raising her family, and in later years, creating a successful decorative paint contracting company. Though she wasn't actively making fine art work during those years, she focused on decorative, furniture and specialty finishes, becoming known for her innovative use of color and mastery of complex finishes. Her company also initiated a leadership training program for her female employees aptly named, "Realizados Suenos" focusing on artistic skill, and confidence on the job site.
A Fine Arts degree from California State University in Long Beach, extensive post graduate work at the Isabel O'Neil Foundation Studio in New York City and her painting experiences in television, theater and public entertainmentÂ-, paved the way for her to showcase her work in some of the most noteworthy residences and public spaces in the world. Anderson has taken several painting workshops where she has studied with celebrated artists including Nancy Hillis and Nicholas Wilton. Anderson's work has appeared in several local gallery shows; "Desert Art Center Winter Show 2019" and "Artist Council/UCR 2019". She is a member of Desert Art Center, Artist Council, Desert Watercolor Society and Morongo Basin Arts Council.
Currently, Ms. Anderson is working on a private commission and preparing a body of work for future exhibition.
