Keeping Chickens Safe in Hot Weather
By Bella Blue
The summer heat is upon us, make sure to monitor your chicken coop's temperatures as they can often get as hot as a parked car. If you can, install fans and have windows to keep air circulating. Try to have the chicken's nests in the shade and keep an eye on them.

I received a book last Christmas called "Whole Grain Vegan Baking" and have recently have had a lot of fun making the recipes in it. The jist of these recipes is they replace the egg and dairy with potatoes, squash, other vegetables, oils and vegan yogurt.
Paint a Flower Pot Saucer that Doesn't Match Pot
By 15mhhm15
Flower pots and saucers are sold separately. I knew I had a saucer at home so I didn't buy a new one. When I went home, the saucer didn't match the pot. You can revamp the saucer with a little bit of paint and it pairs nicely with the accents of the pot. I was able to save the $1-2 on a saucer, and use an existing one.
Toilet Roll Flower-in-a-Pot Kids Craft
By Benetta
Here is a fun craft for the kids! Turn empty toilet rolls into flower pots. Cut flowers from cardstock and use them to fill the pots. It's a great activity to celebrate summer! Each toilet roll will make two pots, so why not fill the whole window sill with colorful flowers?

Introducing Kittens to Older Resident Cat
By cathycathy847
I have a 13 year old cat that I've had since she was 5 weeks old. She is so very very special to me. A momma cat had her kittens on my covered patio. When the two kittens were about 3 months old, she left them here on the porch. I have tried to introduce them to Gizmo, but she is having none of it.
