| Dear WSWS readers, Last August, the World Socialist Web Site reported that changes to Google's search algorithms had slashed search traffic to left-wing, anti-war, and socialist websites, including the WSWS, by as much as 75 percent. Donate to the WSWS Over the past year, the censorship measures of the giant technology monopolies, including Facebook and Twitter, have only increased, in close collaboration with the US intelligence agencies. Last week, I traveled to Washington to cover hearings before the Senate Intelligence Committee, where Facebook CEO Sheryl Sandberg declared that Facebook's goal is to stop "bad" speech and promote "good" speech, and outlined a dystopian vision of the role of the social media company.
