Extending Time on Your Kitchen Timer

I was fixing a chicken recipe in my slow cooker yesterday that needed to cook on low for 6 hours. At the same time, I was not going to be home for a couple hours. Suddenly, the light bulb went on. I have a calculator that also has an alarm clock, so I set the alarm for 6 hours later.

I have a twin bed and the bedspread does the "corner" thing. I have to go around the bed to open/close the sliding glass doors at least 4 times a day.

Let the cucumber remain on the vine until yellow. Cut it and scrape out the seeds. Put the seeds into a small container of water for a few days.
