The Southern Baptist Convention's North American Mission Board received a record $70.2 million from the Annie Armstrong Easter Offering this year. "We need more evangelistic churches, especially in regions where the Gospel presence is less visible. I am grateful for how Southern Baptists love their missionaries and for how they have bought into the vision of reaching North America through evangelism, church planting and compassion ministry," said NAMB President Kevin Ezell. Liberty University is pushing back on a leaked preliminary report from the U.S. Department of Education, saying the report contains "significant errors, misstatements, and unsupported conclusions." Jackson Gatlin, the former young adult and online community pastor at The Vineyard Church in Duluth, Minn., was jailed Tuesday on charges of sexually abusing five teenage girls while working for the church.
