We’ve got an eclectic mix of deals this morning, touching areas from horticulture to cybersecurity to basketball.
Opening up we have Kartesia investing in a provider of smart coatings for greenhouse horticulture and sports line marking.
Next we have BC Partners entering talks to buy a minority stake in a basketball league.
Switching to cybersecurity, we take a look at Thoma Bravo’s take-private of Darktrace as the deal nears completion.
We then finish with some people news, where Three Hills has bolstered its position in France.
On the line
Kartesia has invested in Lumiforte, a provider of smart coatings for sectors as diverse as greenhouse horticulture and sports line marking, along with other agriculture and industry uses.

Deal shot
Sports news now, and presumably not one serviced by Lumiforte’s sports line marking business as it’s an indoor sport.
BC Partners is in exclusive talks to buy a minority stake in the EuroLeague basketball competition, beating out several other private equity firms, according to people familiar with the matter.

BC Partners declined to comment when contacted by PE Hub. The BC and EuroLeague exclusive talks were first reported in the Financial Times.
In the Darktrace
Thoma Bravo’s take-private of UK cybersecurity company Darktrace is set to wrap up on October 1 after the deal won court approval.
The tech-focused private equity firm agreed to a deal in April.
Growth
Three Hills has grown its presence in France with a new appointment.
