Huntington's disease is a progressive neurological disorder that includes mental deterioration and may include dementia as part of its progressive course. When dementia has been diagnosed as related to Huntington’s disease, the ICD-10-CM Alphabetic Index instructs coders to use an additional code from category F02.- (dementia in other diseases classified elsewhere) to identify dementia with or without behavioral disturbance.
