Team Clark Survey Results! Earlier this week we asked if you'd consider canceling your retail club membership if that company decided to raise its annual cost. And wow, you are passionate. You gave us one of our biggest response rates ever, with 50.1% of you telling us you would seriously consider canceling your membership due to a price increase. Another 31.9% said no, you wouldn't cancel your membership. And 18.0% said that it depends on the amount of the increase. Here are some of the responses. Robert in Ohio: "Yes. Their profit margins are high enough as it is. There's no need to be greedy." Sean in Virginia: "No. The savings are too valuable and I would not mind if it resulted in slightly smaller crowds." Peggy in California: "[No.] It wouldn't make me happy, but it's the only shopping my husband actually wants to do with me!" Dave in Georgia: "Yes. The selection isn't the greatest and I have to buy larger quantities to save. Most often it goes to waste." Cindy in Georgia: "Yes. Gas is cheaper, but my local Sam's Club is ridiculous to get in and out of. They shoved the gas pumps in the back corner of the lot and the lines are crazy. I'm not willing to spend that much time to save money." Mark in Wisconsin: "Maybe. Like most anything else, it would depend on the size of the increase. We're in a period of substantial inflation, and it will affect the cost of nearly everything." |
