Now more than ever, Grandview Kids need your voice of support
The parent members of our Family Task Force have launched a publicity campaign to raise awareness about the need for a new building for Grandview Kids.
The Family Task Force plans to ensure all the candidates for Durham Region in the June 12 provincial election are aware of the challenges we face in our existing facilities, currently serving 5,000 kids in a building built over 30 years ago to serve 400 kids. In addition, 2,000 kids are waiting for service from Grandview. These numbers are expected to increase by 31% over the next 20 years.
The need is urgent. Grandview's request for capital development has been awaiting government approval for over 6 years.

Thanks to all the golfers, sponsors, volunteers and staff who made the
18th Annual Golf Fore Grandview Kids Charity Golf Classic a success!

With your help, we raised over $46,000 on May 29, which means more kids with special needs in Durham Region will receive the critical therapy service they need from Grandview Children's Centre, when they need it.

Early intervention is important!
Grandview's Preschool Outreach Program (POP) encourages Early Childhood Educators (ECEs) in licensed child care settings to refer children to POP at a young age.
It's never too early to refer toddlers – babies can also be referred to POP.
The younger the age of the child at the time of referral, the more services the child will be eligible for before entering school.
Parents should be informed by the daycare in advance about POP, and must agree to the referral being made.
For Ajax, Pickering and north Durham Region, please call:
Val Dykes

For Whitby, Oshawa, Bowmanville and east Durham Region, please call:

905-728-1673 x 2227 or toll free 1-800-304-6180 x 2227
ECEs can always call Val or Jean if they have any questions about POP.

We care about your kids.
