Judge to LSU: Pay the coach you fired

Last year, LSU fired its offensive line coach, James Cregg. The university said he had broken NCAA rules, meeting with recruits during a COVID "dead period" and improperly giving out LSU gear. 

Cregg said the school violated his contract by firing him before the NCAA ever sanctioned him. And a judge bought that argument. 

Here's the ruling, and the six-figure payout it says LSU has to make.


The day Hurricane Andrew crashed into Louisiana was the day Mitch Rodeheaver was supposed to be born. But he waited a little while longer, and came into the world in the storm's aftermath.

Now a doctor, Rodehaver's wife is pregnant, and her due date falls in the teeth of hurricane season. So the family's watching the forecasts pretty closely, hoping not to start a new tradition.


Walk-On’s Sports Bistreaux is among Baton Rouge's biggest rising stars in business. The company's growing like crazy — it's up to 68 restaurants, and should hit 80 by the end of the year.

That's just the start, the co-founder and CEO says.
