I have some very exciting news to share with you regarding our ongoing capital campaign. Our second girl’s home was the cornerstone piece of a larger campaign. After reaching our $600,000 last year to begin our 2nd girl’s home, we took a public pause with our partners, but were continuing efforts behind the scenes. Let me remind you of our overall campaign. It included the girl’s home along with associated items (furnishings, van), neighboring land purchase for future development and securing our campus, an operating reserve to aid/protect our operations as we launch the girl’s home, and some miscellaneous enhancement and smaller capital projects around our campus. The total funds needed are $1,030,000. At the end of 2019 a friend of the ministry agreed to support us with a challenge grant of $175,000. We must raise a total of $855,000 by April 26, 2021 and then they will complete the campaign with a gift of $175,000. This is an incredible blessing and opportunity for us to continue making a difference in the lives of those we serve!! (You can find more information on remaining campaign here). We were making plans to break ground on our new girl’s home and announce this incredible opportunity when COVID hit earlier this year. The pandemic required us to focus on our operations for the past few months and insure we could successfully serve our clients and meet our ongoing financial needs. God has been more than faithful with this, and now we’re ready to bring focus back to completing our capital campaign. We also are simultaneously working on breaking ground on the new girl’s home. As I evaluated our remaining need in the last month in order to reach our $855,000 goal, I found we needed approximately $180,000. The Lord has moved in a dramatic way in the last two weeks and provided us $75,000 toward that goal. We now only need $105,000 to reach this goal at which time our challenge partner will finish the campaign with a $175,000 gift. It is my hope that some of you will consider a gift toward this capital need as we approach year-end and into the New Year toward our April deadline for the challenge grant. These funds are important for our future plans to continue bringing Christ’s hope and healing to more teens, families and individuals that we serve. I hope you will consider how you can help us meet this goal.
