Can you see it? This is where our new girl’s home will be built. I’m excited to share with you that construction has officially begun. The site clearing began on Monday May 24th. I’m now working with our builder to begin lining up the next subcontractors. As you all know, construction prices have taken a steep upturn in the last several months. We are praying for favor with several contractors/suppliers along the way to realize some significant savings to insure we meet our budgeted cost. We have already seen the Lord begin to move in this regard, but we would appreciate your prayers for His continued favor moving forward on the construction of the home. We’re looking forward to opening our doors and hearts to more hurting teens and families. |

Here is what Steve Lowe, our executive Director, had to say regarding Kathryn joining our ministry. "We are super excited to welcome Katheryn to our team as our office administrator/intake coordinator for our counseling center. She has a heart committed to Christ and a love and concern for others that is a great fit for the warm, inviting and family atmosphere that is part of our counseling center. Those calling and seeking help in our counseling center will find a compassionate, understanding and empathetic voice in Kathryn who can get them connected with one of our counselors." Please read Kathryn's bio below. Kathryn joined our team as the administrator and intake coordinator of the counseling center in 2021. Her heart for the Lord and for discipleship have led her to The Joy House. She is delighted to be working with Bill, Abby and Heather who all faithfully seek the Lord as they counsel people. |

The Joy House got to make a splash this Summer as part of the youth group that attended camp with Trinity Church. Based on the shore of Lake Oconee in Greensboro, Georgia, the residents and house parents resided in a large house with lots of fun features such as arcade games, a basketball court, kayaks, a fire pit, and of course, a pool! The kids also got to take boat rides on the lake complete with tubing, participated in games such as ultimate Frisbee and finished the last night with some s'more making around a bonfire. |
