| | | | Ms. Dot greeted by students with valentine goodies | A Valentine Surprise | Our volunteer tutors are very special to us at The Joy House. As our Director of Education, Ron Rucker, stated “we couldn’t do what we do without them,” and he’s right! This month, we wanted to do something special for one of our tutors, Ms. Dot Hurst, so we decided to surprise her for Valentine’s Day. Ms. Dot was walking into the school like any normal day but was unexpectedly greeted by our students with a beautiful bouquet of flowers, chocolates and homemade Valentine cards. She was delighted and we were so happy to treat her to something special. Read More Here... | |
| | We invite you to join us at our annual banquet as we "press on" in our ministry serving families for christ | Annual Banquet | It’s hard to believe another year has gone by as we approach our next Annual Banquet. God has continued to be faithful to our ministry and the lives we are impacting. Once again, our banquet will be held at beautiful SharpTop Cove on Tuesday, April 25th at 6:30PM. We look forward to this evening of sharing with you what the Lord has done through our ministry as we’ve worked with our teens, families and counseling center clients to “press on” towards God’s purpose for their lives. We also look forward to encouraging one another to “press on” together as God continues to make provisions for the expansion of The Joy House so that we can be used to bring Christ’s hope and healing to more individuals. In a similar way, these are the workings of the snare called Offense. Recognizing that getting offended might be a plot of entrapment, is a good start. Recognizing and changing the three parts of the trap might also promote stronger relationships. Let us first consider what might be pulling us in. Read More Here... | |
| | the joy house facebook like campaign was a success | We Did It!!! | Last month we challenged our supporters to help us reach 2,000 Facebook page likes by the end of February, and we are happy to announce that we reached our goal! We appreciate your support and encourage those of you on social media to continue to share about our ministry online via Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and Instagram. We had a lot of fun with this campaign, and hope you enjoyed our silly video highlighting Steve's love of Dr. Pepper as much as we did. If you haven't seen it, check it out here on our YouTube page https://youtu.be/hoc3ES5i2xI You can also keep up to date with us throughout the month on the following Social Media Sites: Facebook Instagram Twitter YouTube | |
