As head of content for PBS KIDS, Linda Simensky is the ultimate gatekeeper when it comes to getting a children’s show on the mighty US public broadcaster. She collaborates with producers, co-pro partners, distributors and PBS station programmers throughout the development, production, post-production, broadcast and digital phases of all PBS KIDS content. Under Linda’s purview, the channel has become America’s most trusted educational media brand for children, and has won Kidscreen’s Channel of the Year Award five out of the past seven years. And she has worked on hit shows that now reach 72% of all US kids ages two to eight, including Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood, Dinosaur Train and Odd Squad. Before joining PBS in 2003, Linda was SVP of Original Animation for Cartoon Network (where she

oversaw the development and production of The Powerpuff Girls), and she started her career with nine years in various animation department roles at Nickelodeon. Linda also teaches a course on “Contemporary Issues in Animation” at the University of Pennsylvania.

Born in the Netherlands, Jules Borkent has been on Team Nickelodeon since 1998, when he joined the company as Director of Programming and Acquisitions for Europe and Africa. Jules is now EVP of Kids & Family for ViacomCBS Networks International, where he is in charge of all aspects of content and business operations. Working out of the New York HQ, his remit includes overseeing brand and content management/strategy, acquisitions, production, development, creative and multi-platform operations for Nickelodeon branded channels and platforms internationally. Highlights from Jules's Nickelodeon career include establishing an international programming council and managing a multi-million-dollar annual investment in kids and family content, which he continues to do.
