APRIL EVENTS Yiddish Forward (Forverts) editor Rukhl Schaechter is sprinkling in a few speaking engagements during her upcoming trip to Israel.
Join her for a cooking class on Friday, March 29 in Tel Aviv or on Thursday, April 4 in Jerusalem.

Join Yiddish literature scholar Ruth Wisse as she leads the one-hour tour in Yiddish, sharing the remarkable story of a pre-war family album that belonged to a woman — Wisse's aunt — who was deported from the Kovno Ghetto in 1943.
The album’s 113 photographs, displayed together for the first time, evoke the Jewish cultural life that flourished in the urban centers of Eastern Europe between the wars.

Through archival ads and photos about music, she’ll give a glimpse into how Jewish immigrants were offered a platform for entry into the dream of America.
