Grades of Green is partnering with Lazy Acres in support of healthy habits and a healthy planet. There are three opportunities for you to support Grades of Green through Lazy Acres Natural Market: the Envirotokens program, the Community Day, and the 5% Partner Day! So, start snacking... there is no time to be lazy about protecting the planet!

What is the Envirotokens Program?
Starting today and every day when you shop at Lazy Acres, you have the opportunity to empower student Eco-Leaders with Envirotokens.
All you need is a reusable bag!
The Envirotokens program incentivizes customers (you!) for shopping sustainably.
For every reusable bag you use during your shopping trip, Lazy Acres will offer an Envirotoken for you to donate to a local non-profit of your choice... we hope it's Grades of Green! It's a win-win for your wellness and for the world.

Lazy Acres Community Day is Almost Here!

Join Grades of Green at the Lazy Acres Community Day this Saturday, June 10th!

Lazy Acres will be giving away goodie bags and gift cards, and they even have a fun scavenger hunt planned for the whole family! By participating in the fun activities you can score some prizes and Grades of Green will score funding for our award-winning programs that educate and empower students to take action and lead environmental change in your community.

The festivities are planned for their Hermosa Beach store at 2510 Pacific Coast Hwy, Hermosa Beach this Saturday, June 10, from 11:00 am – 2:00 pm.

Give Back by Shopping in Store
In addition to the Community Day, Lazy Acres has partnered up with Grades of Green for a 5% partner day! On Thursday, June 29, Grades of Green will receive 5% of the total store sales at their Hermosa Beach location. Make sure to mark your calendar, it's the perfect day to stock up on all your groceries and supplies.

Lazy Acres Helps Students SOAR

At our first annual Sustain-a-Thon event, our SOAR students collaborated with Lazy Acres to present sustainable solutions and plans for systemic change in a diverse group of industries. Collaborating with Lazy Acres, our students explored ideas for reducing waste while shopping in-store, such as promoting the use of alternative plastics made from natural materials to cute and reusable mason jars to purchase nuts in bulk instead of buying pre-packaged nuts in plastic. In addition, they included marketing ideas to incentivize customers to shop sustainable...
who wouldn't want a gift card or discount on Lazy Acres healthy products?

Grades of Green SOAR students are chomping at the bit to work with the staff at Lazy Acres again to develop even more innovative and sustainable ideas to magnify their sustainability efforts. We can't wait to see what they come up with next!
