UNPCKD: Essentials for an Inclusive Internet. A Series by The NAACP x The Webbys
Our next virtual event will explore how the digital divide and educational inequalities impact Black students, and how leaders are using the Internet to fill voids in the education system. RSVP to attend next Tuesday, February 8th at 3pm ET.
Last month The Webby Awards and NAACP launched UNPCKD: Essentials for an Inclusive Internet, a virtual event series to address Internet issues impacting the BIPOC community, and support leaders who are using their platforms to advocate for social justice and address these issues.
The second UNPCKD event will explore how leaders and creators are using the Internet to tackle educational gaps and inequities. Lack of access to tech and broadband has impacted Black students during the pandemic. Over the past two years, students and educators are also navigating attacks on curriculums that cover social justice issues.
