Since 1979, the Austrian Institute for International Affairs (oiip) has been a leading independent research institute based in Vienna. At the intersection of academic and policy research, we strive to make expertise in international politics accessible to the public. Our research focuses on international security, autocratization, geopolitics, foreign policy, and regional dynamics in the Western Balkans, Turkey, the MENA region, China, and the US.
You can support our mission through membership or donations. The oiip is a tax-privileged institution within the meaning of § 4a para. 2 no. 1 and para. 3 no. 4 to 6 of the Income Tax Act. Therefore, donations and sponsorship contributions to the oiip are tax-deductible.
