If everyone in Australia left their car at home for just one day, we would stop about 120,000 tonnes of CO2 going into the atmosphere. Sounds good, right? As you all know I ride my bike to work most days. There is nothing more I enjoy than getting out in the fresh air. Riding has so many benefits including health and well-being, exercise and it also reduces my carbon footprint. Plus it doesn't cost me a cent and reduces the daily wear and tear on my car.
I am calling on you to support the Park it for the Planet initiative and join me by swapping a car trip for a bike ride this Wednesday 26 August.
