Off to the races: Qualifying began Tuesday for the Oct. 14 jungle primary, where a slew of statewide political seats, including the governorship, are up for grabs. See the latest from Tyler Bridges and Sam Karlin on who has qualified.

Parish races: See which candidates for elections in St. Tammany, Orleans and Jefferson parishes qualified Tuesday. The parish council, the president and several judges will be elected, Blake Paterson and Alex Lubben report.
